29 квітня 2026 року з ініціативи проректора з виховної роботи, кандидата історичних наук, доцента Олени Хоменко відбулося чергове засідання гуртка «Українсько-славістичні студії: історико-філологічний аспект». Тема зустрічі: «Інституції та досягнення України: утвердження ідентичності». 

Засідання проходило в онлайн-форматі та об’єднало студентів, зацікавлених у пізнанні сучасних державотворчих процесів. Учасники дізналися значення таких символів і інституцій, як антарктична станція «Академік Вернадський» (підкреслили, що фото з снігом актуально сьогоднішній прохолодній погоді), Національний банк України, літак Ан-225 «Мрія», Суспільне мовлення, а також про славнозвісний застосунок «Дія».

Під час обговорення з’ясувалося, що частина студентів раніше не була достатньо обізнана з історією та функціонуванням цих об’єктів, усі точно знали про «Дію». Це підкреслило важливість гурткової роботи як простору для здобуття нових знань і критичного осмислення інформації. Засідання сприяло розширенню світогляду учасників та формуванню їхньої інформаційної культури. 

Подібні заходи мають вагоме значення для національно-патріотичного виховання, адже через усвідомлення досягнень держави формується громадянська ідентичність і відповідальність за її майбутнє. Гурток виступає як додатковий освітньо-виховний ресурс, що посилює процес формування свідомого, соціально відповідального громадянина України. Тому закликаємо усіх охочих приєднуватись до наших наступних засідань.

Online meeting on Ukrainian institutions and achievements: strengthening national identity

On April 29, 2026, at the initiative of the Vice-Rector for Educational Work, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Olena Khomenko, another session of the student club “Ukrainian-Slavic Studies: Historical and Philological Aspect” was held. The topic of the meeting was “Institutions and Achievements of Ukraine: Strengthening Identity.”

The session took place online and brought together students interested in understanding modern state-building processes. Participants explored the significance of key national symbols and institutions, including the Antarctic station Akademik Vernadsky Station (which felt especially relevant given the current cool weather), the National Bank of Ukraine, the legendary aircraft Antonov An-225 Mriya, Suspilne Broadcasting, and the widely known mobile application Diia.

During the discussion, it became clear that some students had previously been less familiar with the history and functioning of these institutions, while everyone was well aware of Diia. This highlighted the importance of student clubs as spaces for acquiring new knowledge and developing critical thinking. The session contributed to broadening participants’ perspectives and strengthening their information literacy.

Such initiatives play an important role in national and civic education, as awareness of a country’s achievements fosters civic identity and responsibility for its future. The club serves as an additional educational resource that enhances the development of conscious and socially responsible citizens of Ukraine.
