8 травня 2025 викладачі та студенти ПВНЗ «Європейський університет» вшанували пам’ять загиблих у роки Другої світової війни. Захід пройшов у форматі «Маки пам’яті» — символу скорботи та пам’яті про мільйони загиблих. Учасники вшанували героїв хвилиною мовчання та поділилися спогадами про важливість збереження історичної пам’яті.

Під час Другої світової війни українці зробили значний внесок у перемогу над нацизмом, відзначилися героїзмом, хоробрістю та самопожертвою на всіх фронтах і в багатьох арміях Антигітлерівської коаліції. Мільйони українців воювали у різних регулярних військах світу, сотні тисяч боролися в підпільних і повстанських структурах. Потужності майже всіх українських підприємств працювали на потреби оборони. Українська земля була одним із основних театрів воєнних дій, місцем масштабних і тяжких битв.

Ми віримо, що так само, як українці були ключовою силою перемоги тоді, вони зможуть здобути мир і свободу сьогодні. Сила, єдність і незламність нашого народу знову приведуть Україну до Перемоги!

The 80th Anniversary of Victory over Nazism as a Day of Remembrance and a Marker of Change
On May 8, 2025, faculty and students of the Private Higher Educational Institution "European University" honored the memory of those who perished during the Second World War.
The event took place in the format of “Poppies of Remembrance”, a symbol of mourning and tribute to the millions of lives lost. Participants observed a moment of silence and shared reflections on the importance of preserving historical memory.

During World War II, Ukrainians made a significant contribution to the victory over Nazism, demonstrating heroism, courage, and self-sacrifice on all fronts and within many armies of the Anti-Hitler coalition. Millions of Ukrainians fought in regular military forces worldwide, while hundreds of thousands resisted in underground and partisan movements. Nearly all Ukrainian industries were mobilized for defense.
Ukrainian territory became one of the main battlegrounds, enduring some of the war’s most devastating battles.

Today, we believe that just as Ukrainians were a decisive force in achieving victory then, they will also secure peace and freedom now. The strength, unity, and resilience of our people will once again lead Ukraine to Victory!
