26 березня 2025 року студенти груп 028/1 та 028/2 Фахового бізнес-коледжу зі своїм викладачем історії, доцентом кафедри соціально-гуманітарних дисциплін Європейського Університету, Петрушко Л.А., завітали на гостину до Тараса Григоровича Шевченка – в помешкання, де поет прожив один щасливий рік свого життя. Нині це – Літературно-меморіальний будинок-музей Тараса Шевченка.

Екскурсовод провела молоде покоління по книзі життя українського Кобзаря, познайомила з культурою і побутом ХІХ ст., діяльністю Тараса Шевченка та кирило-мефодіївців. Ця неймовірна розповідь по-особливому і на якомусь новому рівні відкрила Тараса Григоровича перед студентами та їх викладачем, дозволила побачити живу і насправді дивовижну людину в усій багатогранності талантів, якими вона була обдарована. 

Візит став прекрасним підсумком шевченківських березневих днів та давав відповіді на питання, які виникали в студентів у навчальних аудиторіях під час опанування епохи десталінізації – чому саме Тарас Шевченко був знаковою постаттю для шістдесятників, чи можна вважати дисидентів першими (в музеї пригадали, що ні - їм передували кирило-мефодіївці) та на якому насправді благодатному українському ґрунті постала плеяда письменників і митців 1960-х.

Після екскурсії виникло бажання перечитати поезію Тараса Григоровича, зняти масштабну кінокартину про його життя, а для початку ? запросити кожного відвідати цей унікальний музей.

May We Address You, Taras Hryhorovych?..

On March 26, 2025, students of groups 028/1 and 028/2 from the Vocational Business College, accompanied by their history lecturer — Associate Professor of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines at European University, L.A. Petrushko — paid a heartfelt visit to Taras Hryhorovych Shevchenko at the very home where the poet spent one happy year of his life. Today, this place is known as the Literary and Memorial House-Museum of Taras Shevchenko.

The guide took the young visitors through the pages of Kobzar’s life, introducing them to 19th-century culture and everyday life, Shevchenko’s creative work, and the activities of the Cyril and Methodius Brotherhood. This incredible story revealed a new and deeply human side of Taras Hryhorovych, allowing students and their lecturer to see a truly remarkable individual—multi-talented, vibrant, and very much alive in spirit.

The visit became a meaningful conclusion to Shevchenko-themed March events and provided answers to questions raised by students during their studies of the de-Stalinization era:

 – Why was Shevchenko such a key figure for the Sixtiers?

 – Can dissidents be considered the first defenders of freedom (the museum reminded us: no — the Cyril and Methodius Brotherhood members preceded them)?

 – And what rich Ukrainian cultural soil gave rise to the wave of writers and artists of the 1960s?

After the excursion, many felt inspired to reread Shevchenko's poetry, imagine a grand film about his life, and, to begin with, invite everyone to visit this unique and powerful museum.
