В Європейському університеті 10 листопада відбувся круглий стіл «Наука очима молодих вчених: до Всесвітнього дня науки за мир і розвиток». З привітальним словом виступив проректор з наукової роботи, доктор економічних наук Гудзь Юрій Федорович та кандидат історичних наук, доцент кафедри соціально-гуманітарних дисциплін, Голова Ради молодих вчених Європейського університету Атаманська Світлана Сергіївна.

Серед питань, які обговорювали молоді вчені Європейського університету:

1. Яке місце займає молодь у сучасному науковому просторі?

2. Які головні виклики стоять перед молодими вченими сьогодні?

3. Як зацікавити студентів займатися наукою?

4. Як наука сприяє збереженню миру у світі?

5. Які наукові відкриття допомагають вирішувати глобальні проблеми — війни, бідність, екологічні кризи?

6. Як цифрові технології, штучний інтелект і біотехнології змінюють наукову діяльність?

7. Чи легко молодим науковцям реалізувати свої ідеї в Україні?

8. Що означає «наука заради сталого розвитку»?

Всесвітній день науки за мир і розвиток 10 листопада започаткувала ЮНЕСКО у 2001 році, щоб підкреслити важливість науки в житті суспільства, її роль у розвитку людства й у забезпеченні миру. Основна мета цього дня — популяризувати науку, показати, як наукові відкриття впливають на наш добробут, екологію, освіту, медицину, технології та навіть культуру.

Молоді вчені поділилися власним досвідом участі у наукових дослідженнях, грантових програмах, міжнародних конференціях, а також обговорили питання інтеграції української науки у світовий науковий простір. Особливу увагу приділили ролі університетів у підтримці молодих дослідників та необхідності створення сприятливих умов для розвитку наукового потенціалу молоді.

Під час зустрічі лунали думки про те, що майбутнє науки — за міждисциплінарністю, цифровізацією та інноваціями, які поєднують природничі, технічні та гуманітарні знання. Було підкреслено, що саме молоді науковці здатні генерувати нові ідеї, мислити нестандартно й пропонувати рішення, які сприятимуть миру, безпеці та прогресу у світі.

On 10 November, the European University hosted a roundtable discussion entitled ‘Science through the eyes of young scientists: towards World Science Day for Peace and Development’. The Vice-Rector for Scientific Work, Doctor of Economics Yurii Hudz, and Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines, Chair of the Council of Young Scientists of European University, Svitlana Atamanska, delivered welcoming speeches.

Among the issues discussed by young scientists of European University were:

1. What place do young people occupy in the modern scientific space?

2. What are the main challenges facing young scientists today?

3. How to get students interested in science?

4. How does science contribute to maintaining peace in the world?

5. What scientific discoveries help solve global problems such as war, poverty, and environmental crises?

6. How are digital technologies, AI, and biotechnologies changing scientific activity?

7. Is it easy for young scientists to implement their ideas in Ukraine?

8. What does ‘science for sustainable development’ mean?

UNESCO launched World Science Day for Peace and Development on 10 November 2001 to highlight the importance of science in society, its role in human development, and its contribution to ensuring peace. The main goal of this day is to popularize science and demonstrate how scientific discoveries impact our well-being, ecology, education, medicine, technology, and even culture.

Young scientists shared their experiences of participating in scientific research, grant programmes, and international conferences, and discussed the integration of Ukrainian science into the global scientific community. Particular attention was paid to the role of universities in supporting young researchers and the need to create favourable conditions for the development of young people's scientific potential.

During the meeting, opinions were expressed that the future of science lies in interdisciplinarity, digitalisation, and innovations that combine natural, technical, and humanities knowledge. It was emphasized that young scientists are capable of generating new ideas, thinking outside the box, and proposing solutions that contribute to peace, security, and progress in the world.
