The language challenge conducted by Senior Lecturer of the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation, Olena Movchan, titled "Remember the Proverb", is more than just a word game — it is an important step toward preserving linguistic identity and gaining a deeper understanding of our roots.

A proverb is a concise expression that conveys a people’s life experience, moral values, or observations. Within them lies the philosophy of generations — wisdom that remains relevant even today. For example, the saying “All that glitters is not gold” reminds us of the importance of inner substance over outward appearance. Or “You reap what you sow” — a golden rule of responsibility for one’s own life.
