Modern Teaching Methods in a Professional Foreign Language Class on the Topic “Modal Verbs. Relationships”
The open class conducted by Svitlana Volodymyrivna Tsymbal, lecturer at the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation, on the topic “Modal Verbs. Relationships” was thoroughly designed and logically structured.

The motivational stage began with an interactive activity where students worked in pairs, describing different types of relationships using visual cards. This created a positive atmosphere and set the group up for English communication from the very first minutes.

The central part of the lesson stood out for its variety of teaching methods and techniques. Svitlana Tsymbal effectively applied the Flipped Classroom approach — students had previously studied theoretical material through video lectures, which allowed classroom time to be maximized for practical work. Interactive exercises were conducted on the Kahoot platform to reinforce lexical units, which significantly increased students’ motivation and added an element of healthy competition.

The lecturer demonstrated a deep understanding of the principles of differentiated learning. Different learning styles were taken into account: each student received individual tasks tailored to their level of preparation and professional interests.
