Ukraine’s capital once again proves that even in the most difficult times, the intellectual potential of our young people remains a strong foundation for the country’s technological sovereignty.

With the support of European University, a significant event took place — the “Security Paradigm” Orientation Session of the Security and Defence Department of the Kyiv Junior Academy of Sciences. The event brought together young researchers, educators, and leading experts from the security and defence sector.

The highlight of the session was an awards ceremony honouring young intellectuals — winners of city, national, and international scientific and technical competitions, Olympiads, tournaments, and research project exhibitions.

EUROPEAN UNIVERSITY — AN EDUCATIONAL AND RESEARCH HUB AND A RELIABLE PARTNER

European University played a key role in organising and hosting the event. Thanks to the comprehensive support of the University’s leadership and access to its modern technological facilities, the session took place in a safe, comfortable, and inspiring environment.

The partnership between European University and the Security and Defence Department of the Kyiv Junior Academy of Sciences is an example of an effective educational and research cluster. The University provides young researchers with access to modern laboratories and mentorship in key areas:

- Cybersecurity and cryptographic information protection

- Robotics

- Artificial intelligence and communication systems

- Civil security, engineering protection, and urban studies

2. Innovation presentations: young inventors showcased their own developments, ranging from autonomous threat-detection systems to software designed to protect critical infrastructure.

3. Experience sharing: winners of previous competitions presented case studies on developing their own scientific startups.

“Today, every scientific project created by a young Kyiv researcher is not merely an educational exercise, but a real contribution to Ukraine’s technological independence and defence capability. Our young people demonstrate that Ukrainian science is strong, innovative, and focused on Victory,” said Olena Tymoshenko, Doctor of Philosophical Sciences, Professor, Rector of PHEI “European University”, in her welcoming remarks.
