Welcome to the Faculty of Information Systems and Technologies! We are pleased to present our establishment, which is aimed at training specialists who have a level of knowledge that is fully relevant to the requirements of the modern IT market of Ukrainian and foreign companies. Our training program is focused on the development of your technical and analytical skills, which will allow you to develop innovative solutions and provide effective work of companies in the field of IT.

The Software Engineering specialty is based on the study of disciplines that provide thorough mathematical and algorithmic training, knowledge of modern programming languages ​​such as: Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, C#, etc., computer networks, testing (QA), operating systems, database management systems (DBMS), such as Oracle DB, MongoDB, MySQL DB and others, necessary for work in the chosen field.

This specialty is aimed at the development of websites, computer games, information systems of various complexity and other application programs. Graduates of this specialty could work in companies engaged in service or product development, software testing for various purposes of information technology.

The Computer Science speciality is based on the study of disciplines that provide knowledge in the areas of programming in object-oriented environments; architecture of modern computer systems; use of modern algorithmic programming languages; construction and use of modern operating systems; construction of databases, organization of operation and design of automated information systems; construction of artificial intelligence systems and their application in intelligent decision-making systems.

This specialty is aimed at the development of information processing mechanisms and schemes and data presentation.

The Cybersecurity speciality is based on the study of disciplines that provide knowledge of modern methods of protecting software products, cryptography, guaranteeing the security of the Internet of Things, testing computer equipment, programs and data and other modern technologies protecting databases, protecting computer networks from unauthorized access.

This specialty is aimed at the development of mechanisms for designing information protection systems, organization of information security and cyber protection services of enterprises, development and maintenance of cyber protection systems.

FACULTY NEWS

In 2023, an educational student laboratory was created at the faculty, where students can improve their knowledge of computer architecture, learn how to assemble a PC, and learn how to install operating systems and software.

The eSports Club operates at the faculty. Students participate in qualifying tournaments and competitions with teams from other universities.

Students of the faculty are trained in an online simulator internship developed by the Ukrainian IT company Genesis.

Faculty students can become members of the Startup Club EU and implement their creative ideas.

Speaking Club EU operates weekly at the university for free.

The software developments of the students are implemented in the educational process of the university.

On a permanent basis, events for the development of entrepreneurial thinking are held for students of the faculty under the program of the Ministry of Education and Culture of Ukraine and the Network of Academic Business Incubators YEP.

Students of the Faculty of Information Systems and Technologies are finalists of international IT competitions.

A creative space has been opened for our students (a cozy co-working space with a lecture hall, an area for working with personal computers and a rest area).

 CAREER

Senior students and graduates of the faculty work in Ukrainian and foreign companies, in particular: EPAM, Global Logic, Genesis, Cisco, Luxoft, Infopulse, ICTV TV channel.

 

A UNIQUE OFFER FOR STUDENTS. THE UKRAINE-POLAND DOUBLE DIPLOMA PROGRAM

The European University has signed a cooperation agreement with the Higher School of Business Academy (Poland, Dombrowa-Gurnych), under which students of the faculty can study in two higher education institutions at the same time and receive two diplomas (Ukrainian and Polish) upon graduation.

Studying on a double degree program takes significantly less time than studying two courses separately, giving you more opportunities to jumpstart your IT career and further your career.

Documents Required for Admission

Junior Bachelor’s Degree

 

  • A copy of the state-style document on the previously acquired educational (educational and qualification) level, based on which admission is made, and a supplement to it (certificate of basic general secondary education, certificate of complete general secondary education, diploma of a skilled worker or junior specialist).
  • A copy of the identity and citizenship document; extract from the Unified State Demographic Register.
  • A copy of the identification code.
  • Four colour photographs (size of 3 x 4 cm).
  • Military ID or registration certificate.

Bachelor’s Degree

  • A document certifying identity and citizenship (according to Article 5 of the Law of Ukraine on Citizenship of Ukraine).
  • Passport; extract from the Unified State Demographic Register.
  • Identification code.
  • Military ID or registration certificate.
  • A state document (original) on the previously acquired educational (educational and qualification) level, based on which admission is made, and a supplement to it (certificate of complete general secondary education, Junior Specialist diploma).
  • A certificate (2020 or 2021) of the appropriate level of external independent assessment or the National Multi-Subject Test (2022 or 2023).
  • Documents confirming the entrant’s right to participate in the competition based on the results of entrance exams based on complete general secondary education, enrolment after an interview, enrolment outside the competition.
  • If there is a discrepancy in the surname in the submitted documents, provide copies of supporting documents.

Master’s Degree

 

Applicants submit copies and originals of the following documents to the Admissions Committee:

  • a Document certifying identity and citizenship (passport, residence permit (temporary or permanent), temporary certificate issued for the period of passport issuance).
  • Identification code.
  • Military ID or registration certificate.
  • A state document (original) on the previously acquired educational (educational qualification) level, because of which the admission is made, and a supplement to it (Bachelor’s, Master’s (Specialist) diploma).
  • The results of the 2023 EVI (Unified Entrance Examination) and EFVV (Unified Professional Entrance Test).

 

MANAGEMENT AND STRUCTURE OF THE FACULTY

  Roman O. Yarovyi is a Ph.D. in Technical Sciences, Dean of the Faculty of Information Systems and Technologies. In 1997, he graduated from the Donbas State Machine-Building Academy, majoring in Automation of Production Processes, qualified as an Electromechanical Engineer. Ph.D. in technical sciences since 2020. He defended his doctoral thesis in the specialized academic council D 29.051.03 on the specialty 05.22.07 – Railway Rolling Stock and Train Traction. Doctoral thesis topic: Increasing Operational Characteristics of Shunting Diesel Locomotives. Combined Energy Storage. He has work experience at the Department of Computer Engineering and Management Systems of the Ukrainian State University of Railway Transport. Since 2022, he has been working at the European University. The seniority of scientific and pedagogical activity is more than 25 years. During these years, the direction of scientific research was focused on simulation modelling of control systems, low-level and object-oriented programming. His scientific activity includes scientific supervision of the work of students, master’s and postgraduate students, participation in scientific and practical conferences, round tables and other events. The scientific achievement of Mr. Yarovyi consists of more than 60 scientific works, which includes textbooks, patents, scientific articles in specialized publications and foreign publications included in international scientific and metric databases, including Scopus. Completed an international internship under the Modern IT program from the Katowice School of Technology (Poland). Roman Yarovyi is also the coordinator of the robotics and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) facultative training.
